Toward the end of Beyond Blue, the intensity gets kicked up a notch when players explore a dark, deep-sea level full of underwater geysers and industrial drilling. It's dark, the game's map is taken away, and a feeling of suspense overtakes an otherwise peaceful game. It's an interesting way to explore the oceans and learn along the way. What makes exploring Microsoft Flight Simulator's world so unique and addictive is the fact that contrary to nearly every single game out there, this flight sim allows players to explore almost the entirety of the real world. The game pulls its environments from Bing Maps, and while it isn't a 1:1 recreation of planet Earth, it is faithful enough to let many players fly by their home, or visit real-world locations they always wanted to travel to. When people say video games, the first thing that comes to mind to many is high-intensity first-person shooters or high-speed racing games. Those titles won't help if you play video games to relax and release tension. |
