We use Hampshire trout caught in the gin crystal clear waters of Hampshire’s nutrient-rich rivers to make our whole smoked trout. We clean, gill and gut the whole trout, then cure the trout with our unique brine ready for hot smoking using an aromatic mix of apple, oak and a little hickory. The result is a gift to the senses: succulent whole side with a golden brown glow encouraging taste with its deep and layered smoky aroma. Our small whole smoked trout are ideal for a small supper or special treat. The small pack can feed one person perfectly depending on size, the weight is between 250 and 274g, please check the size when ordering. The packs should be kept refrigerated and use by the best before date. All our smoked whole fish, fillets and sides can be frozen and should be used within 3 months of freezing. smoked trout |
